I am Vedant Pandit, an engineering student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Science & Engineering from COEP Technological University, Pune, and I will be graduating in 2026.

I joined CAD Infield in March 2025. They offer an excellent course, “Design Thinking for Mechanical Engineers,” which focuses on the practical application of engineering formulas and components such as gears, levers, pulleys, bearings, etc., along with mathematical modelling using Excel. They also provide a DUNS-approved certificate in GD&T.

The Design Thinking program includes in-depth training in SolidWorks CAD modelling, covering sheet metal design and calculations, FEA, photo-rendering, and animation. CAD Infield is a Certified SolidWorks Learning Center, and they also provide an official SolidWorks certification, which adds great value to the learning experience.

Another notable learning experience was the Pneumatic Circuit Design Workshop, where I gained hands-on knowledge of designing and developing pneumatic circuits for real industrial applications. Additionally, the Product Data Management (PDM) Workshop helped me understand data management, security, automation, and auto-generation of the Bill of Materials (BOM).

All technical lectures were conducted by Aatmling Sir, a highly knowledgeable and experienced faculty member. The institute also offers interview preparation and HR sessions led by Swati Madam, along with weekly tests to assess students’ understanding.

CAD Infield also hosts a Design Innovation Competition, allowing students to engage in friendly technical competition, and organizes industrial visits for real-world exposure to industrial work culture.

Joining this course was one of the best decisions I have made. It significantly strengthened my professional and soft skills and helped shape me into an industry-ready individual. The knowledge and confidence I gained through this program played a major role in helping me crack my campus placement interview.

I am delighted to share that I got placed in Havelock One Interiors, Bahrain.
