I recently completed a design training program at CAD Infield Technology, Pune , and I can confidently say it was one of the most valuable learning experiences in my engineering journey. The institute specializes in mechanical design training, with a strong emphasis on SolidWorks , design calculations, GD\&T, and industry-oriented design methodologies .
From the beginning, the approach was highly structured and professional. The faculty—especially Mr. Aatmling Narayanpure Sir and Swati Ma’am —bring extensive industrial experience, and their guidance goes far beyond textbook knowledge. Every concept, from basic sketching to advanced 3D modeling, assembly, and simulation in SolidWorks, was taught in a step-by-step, practical manner. Alongside software training, we were also taught design calculation techniques , which are essential for real-world mechanical design tasks like material selection, safety factor calculations, bearing selections, shaft design, etc.
One of the standout features of CAD Infield is its project-based learning model . We worked on live industry projects and practical assignments that mimicked real manufacturing scenarios. This included domains like sheet metal, machine design, SPMs (Special Purpose Machines), jigs and fixtures, and more. It truly helped bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application.
The institute also focuses heavily on certification preparation. I received guidance to prepare for CSWA (Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate) certification , which are globally recognized. They also provide in-depth training in PDM (Product Data Management) and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD\&T) —which is increasingly in demand by design and manufacturing companies.
Another key strength is their career and placement support . From resume building to interview preparation and mock sessions, everything was designed to help students transition into the job market. The institute claims 100% placement support, and in my experience, they are genuinely committed to helping students secure relevant roles in design departments of reputable companies. I, too, received placement assistance that helped me land a role aligned with my interests.
Their hybrid learning model—including online classes, offline labs, mobile app-based learning, and a video library—adds flexibility for working professionals and students from outside Pune.
In summary, CAD Infield Technology is more than just a training centre—it’s a career-building platform for mechanical engineers and design aspirants. Their commitment to practical learning, industry-aligned curriculum, and personal mentorship makes them stand out in the field of CAD education.
If you’re a mechanical engineering student diploma holder , or working professional looking to gain strong practical skills in SolidWorks and design fundamentals , this institute is highly recommended.Sachin Dongare Design Engineer July 21, 2025
